Eighth degree black belt, Doug McKnew was born in Annapolis, MD. He is currently in sales and has a variety of interests including:
* Reiki * Massage * Herbalist * Meditation * Weightlifting
- Doug has been studying Martial Arts for over 20 years. His proficiency includes Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi Chuan, boxing and wrestling.
- Doug was promoted to black belt instructor on April 20, 1996 then promoted to eighth degree black belt on September 27, 2008.
- Chosen by Master Joe Sheya to be his inheritor, Doug is Master instructor & owner of Sheya's Traditional Hapkido East on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
- Broadening his expertise, Doug became a Reiki master on January 19, 2002.
- Lastly, Doug enjoys utilizing his practical capabilities working as a security personnel.
